About
Susanne Fischer is a Swiss fashion designer and textile artist based in Brussels with a deep commitment to craftsmanship. Originally from Vevey (CH), she graduated
from the London College of Fashion, where she specialized in womenswear.
She gained extensive industry experience working with renowned fashion
designers Martine Rose and Molly Goddard in London, before relocating to
Belgium, where she works as a costume designer for dance companies.
Alongside clothing design, she develops her own creative practice
showcasing her work in different artistic contexts, often collaborating
with artists such as Charlotte Stuby.
Through her work, Susanne navigates the intersections between art, design, and
textile craftsmanship, transforming public spaces, interiors, objects,
and people. She thrives on juxtaposing contrasts,
merging textiles and jewelry through techniques like lost-wax casting,
and blending traditional textile crafts with metalwork. Her designs blur
the lines between established codes, combining styles, shapes, and
materials to create a dynamic synergy between the wearer and the
garment. Expanding beyond fashion, Susanne’s work includes textile
installations that create immersive environments.
