This project reimagines the traditional Californian blind by adding a new dimension to the space it occupies. While the blind divides and obstructs light or air, its patchwork illustration creates the illusion of openness, suggesting a new room or landscape.
The composition, designed to be hung indoors, draws on references to familiar domestic objects and sentimental scenery, blending functionality with artistic expression.
