Late Bloomer

late blooomer
Late Bloomer unfolds in defiance of a world that no longer waits. In a time when speed replaces reflection and comfort masks complicity, the collection honours those who grow slowly — the flowers that bloom in their own time. It is a meditation on care and resistance, a quiet protest against a system that rewards urgency while turning away from ongoing genocides and repression. To bloom late becomes an act of survival — a way to reclaim time, tenderness, and meaning.

The garments reflect this tension between structure and release. Dresses contour the body before opening into fluid volume — effortless, soft, and adaptable. Vests bring sharpness and shape, worn on their own or layered as protection. Cotton jersey hoods and accessories made from preloved and deadstock materials extend the collection’s language of reuse and renewal.

Sourced in Belgium, the fabrics tell a story of reclamation: deadstock lambskin leather, lingerie mesh saved from waste, boiled wool, and OEKO-TEX® certified jerseys. Each seam reveals process and purpose — an insistence on slowness in a culture that moves too fast. Late Bloomer is a reminder that growth takes time — and that to take time is, itself, a political act.
