Malachite
Malachite, often revered as a protective stone, is thought to absorb negative energies and shield against harmful influences. This collection’s print draws inspiration from the intricate patterns of this vibrant green mineral, formed naturally through the weathering of copper ore deposits.
The design process began with a hand-painted interpretation by the artist Sarah Margnetti, who used oil paints on wood to capture the organic textures and dynamic forms of malachite. Her painting brought a unique depth to the mineral’s essence, which was then meticulously digitized and reproduced through digital printing on cotton drill and jersey, ensuring a seamless translation of these natural patterns into textile form.
